W E  P R O T E S T!

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends"

As Sourav fans and people with morals, from now onwards, we are NOT going to UPDATE rahuldravid.net. We will continue to protest till Rahul shows some gratitude for his former skipper.

Sourav was ignored yet again for the England test series... and for no reason! Kiran More said on Feb 22, a day before the selection for the 1st test vs. England that this selection will be based on the

performances in Pak. It seems that the 5 wise men and the coach and captain only took into account the One-day series and forgot the Test matches. Sourav played extremely valuable innings and put up 2 100-run partnerships in the last test vs. Pak. There is no justification, whatsoever, that the captain and selectors can give for Sourav's exclusion. So, we have decided that THIS IS IT! We are not going to sit back and take this injustice any longer.

Rahul, we are ashamed at how you have backstabbed Sourav. It is a total disgrace! We had tremendous respect for you as player and human being but your treatment towards Sourav has proved us wrong. How could Rahul forget all that Sourav did for him? Has Rahul Dravid become such a hypocrite that he will step on someone else's shoulders to achieve something for himself? How could he betray a person who has done so much for him and the team, all selflessly? It was Sourav who accommodated Rahul in the ODI team as wicket keeper when the selectors were against picking him for the ODIs. It is a shame that India's 'Wall' has forgotten morality. The way he plotted to remove Sourav from the team shows how low he can stoop just for taking revenge against someone. If he did have a grudge against Sourav, where was the need to play the nice boy all these years? Has Rahul, in his dream of winning the World Cup for India, forgotten his Indian values and culture?

When we started this site, we had huge respect for Rahul, but now, he has shown that he does not have any dignity left in him. How else could he so successfully plot the end of Sourav's career and also blatantly lie about it to the Indian public. We cannot support such hypocrisy and now, that it has been made loud and clear to all of us, that it was indeed Rahul Dravid behind Sourav's exit, we have decided not to update rahuldravid.net anymore.

We all know, how easy it is for a captain to have someone in the squad if he wants to, even against the wishes of the coach and selectors. Sourav proved this by supporting Yuvi, Bhajji, and Laxman for so long despite their failures. Just one nod from Rahul would have secured a place for Sourav in the team but Rahul betrayed the trust of a friend. All Sourav needed was some backing and he would have come good on his own. As Farooq Engineer rightly said, how can such a great player become a no-body over night... so much that youngsters like Venugopal Roa and Raina are preferred over him? Rahul may think that he is doing the right thing... But let’s not forget that God always ensures that every person gets his due. Rahul, too, will have to pay for his actions one day.

RAHUL... YOU MAY WIN THE WORLD CUP, YOU MAY BECOME INDIA'S MOST SUCCESSFUL CAPTAIN, BUT YOU WILL, FOREVER, CARRY THE RESPONSIBILITY ON YOUR HEAD OF KILLING THE CAREER OF SOURAV GANGULY PREMATURELY.

Do you support our decision? Why or why not?
